Joel Harrison

Joel Harrison, born in New Jersey, was an Alvin Ailey protégé. He danced with Carlos Carvajal’s Dance Spectrum here in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 1983, he moved back home to Jersey City, NJ and founded the Hudson Repertory Dance Theater which thrived under his leadership, choreography, and teaching.
